This is one of my favourite pages from David Bouchard's picture book poem, If You're Not From the Prairie... (because if you know, you know).

I played around with scale here, mixing larger floral motifs with ditsy prints to create contrast in the wheat stalk. I would also love to try a modern twist with solids and create an ombre effect!

The Prairie Love Pattern offers 3 sizes: Throw, Twin & King! I don't usually design quilts with a king size version, but this pattern was just begging to be BIG! And the king size version is the most visually stunning of all! Pictured here is the Twin size version.

I was lucky enough to stay in the most beautiful Airbnb to capture Prairie Love in her ideal habitat (Cozy Lakefront Retreat on Last Mountain Lake). I would highly recommend this Scandinavian inspired cabin in the quiet resort village of Clearview, Saskatchewan. It's the perfect getaway for a couple or girl's trip, with stunning lakefront views of Last Mountain Lake.

Included in your stay are: paddle boards, kayaks, a canoe, snow shoes, and the most amazing wood burning SAUNA. The massive deck overlooking the lake was breathtaking! I didn't want to leave...
