Our quilts are known for their stitch quality and luxuriously soft backings. Modern designs combined with heirloom status mean our products stand up to washing and use so that one day they may be passed down.
A quilt is three layers stitched together.
For the Quilt Top, we used a print from Dear Stella's Wild Winter collection.
This lap sized quilt measures roughly 43" x 59".
*free from harmful chemicals
*fine and tight weave (ideal for excessive washing)
*OEKO-TEX certified: only safe inks are used to protect your skin and the planet
*fabrics made in socially responsible production facilities
We use Quilter's Dream 100% Cotton batting in the Middle Layer because of its superior quality:
*the finest cotton available
*does not contain scrim, glue or binders.
*bears the Cotton Incorporated's Black Seal.
*high thermal value (R-3.8), so it is warm, yet light and breathable (functional throughout the changing seasons)
*long staple cotton fibres combined with a special needle punch process prevents any shifting and bunching inside the quilt
Backing: this is what makes our designer quilts so luxurious!
Here we have used a Luxe Cuddle® Hide fabric in Whistler. You'll love the textured surface that features a textured design. It's as soft as it looks, and with a 10mm pile height, it's one of the coziest backings we offer.
The binding (edging) is completed by machine for a durable finish.
The above three layers are professionally quilted together using an industrial longarm quilt machine with Glide thread, a high-tenacity filament. It has a brilliant sheen with excellent wash-fastness and a strong resistance to detergents. You will notice the beautiful stitch definition as soon as you open the box.
Charlie Bear Care: For best results, machine wash gentle cycle in cool water and dry on the lowest heat setting. With laundering, our quilts gain texture and comfiness.
*Heirloom quality is what sets us apart from the prefabricated quilts you can buy from box stores. Our materials are of the highest quality and have been processed without harsh chemicals.
Personalization: A coordinating fabric will be selected. Name will be sewn to the bottom of the quilt with a raw edge seam allowance. This will fray nicely around the edges and add dimension with your first wash. Generally a first name is chosen for baby quilts. Throw quilts that will be used in common areas of the household usually opt for the family name, initials, or a meaningful date.
